What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. "Similar technologies" include browser storage (such as localStorage) and comparable methods. They can be strictly necessary to operate a site, or optional (for example analytics, advertising or marketing).

How this site uses them

This website is deliberately lightweight. It uses strictly necessary functionality plus two optional, consent-gated technologies: Google Analytics 4 (analytics) and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (marketing). Both optional technologies stay off until you choose — see the categories below.

Necessary functionality only

The only storage used for ordinary visitors is what is strictly necessary to operate the site and remember limited functional preferences you set (for example dismissing a notice). This storage contains no advertising or tracking identifiers, is first-party, and is not shared. A signed-in administrator's browser also stores standard WordPress functional cookies, which are never set for ordinary visitors.

Optional analytics and marketing

Two optional categories are available and off by default until you opt in. Analytics: Google Analytics 4, which sets Google analytics cookies only after you allow it. Marketing: the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which loads and sets Meta cookies only after you allow it. The cookie banner provides Accept, Reject and Manage choices; your preference is stored in a first-party idre_consent cookie, and you can change or withdraw it at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Before you consent, Google Consent Mode v2 keeps analytics and advertising storage set to denied.

Browser controls

You remain in full control of cookies and site data through your browser settings, where you can view, manage or delete anything stored by any website you visit, including this one.

If this changes in future

If we later enable optional technologies (for example website analytics), we will update this page with the provider and purpose, implement consent before any optional storage or tracking where required, provide Reject / Manage choices, and keep this policy aligned with the scripts actually loaded.
